ESC Foundation Gala Evening : Highlights & Successes

An Evening Filled with Memorable Moments

The opening speeches by Richard Soparnot, General Director of ESC Clermont BS, and Jean-Paul Chiocchetti, President of the Foundation, served to position our Foundation in the realm of Grandes Écoles, while emphasizing its crucial role. Moreover, this event was an opportunity to pay tribute to the generous donors who have contributed to the Foundation. Since its creation in 2016, the Groupe ESC Clermont Foundation has raised over 2 million euros and awarded more than 700 scholarships. This impressive initiative illustrates the Foundation’s daily commitment to our School, in achieving the goals of its societal project, while enhancing its visibility locally, nationally, and internationally, as emphasized by Richard Soparnot.

This annual gathering was also an opportunity for Robin Jund, Director of the Foundation, to present the three new pillars that structure the actions of the Groupe ESC Clermont Foundation:

• Social openness & equal opportunities,
• Entrepreneurial dynamics,
• Territorial solidarity.

Students, scholarship recipients, and entrepreneurs, as well as the president of Esope 63 (a solidarity grocery store) accompanied by a volunteer, participated in an on-stage panel discussion. Their presence concretely illustrated these actions, with their testimonials highlighting the significant impact of the Foundation on both our students and our community.

“I am currently in China, specifically at the Beijing Language University campus, where I am participating in a three-month exchange program to improve my English and learn Mandarin. This project became a reality thanks to the donors and the Morad Mousli scholarship. This scholarship means a lot to me because it allowed me to finance almost entirely my first year of studies at ESC Clermont BS.“

The evening concluded with a spontaneous testimonial from Hugo Mezentfeff, a student and professional hockey player, who has benefited from a scholarship throughout his studies. He expressed his gratitude to the donors and the School teams for their invaluable support over these three years. Finally, a cocktail allowed scholarship students, donors, and companies to meet, exchange ideas, and strengthen their bonds, thus concluding this emotionally rich evening full of commitments for the future.
