ESC Clermont BS Opens Its Campus in Marrakech

To meet the goals of our strategic plan, REVEAL 2022-2027, our School is expanding globally. The opening of our first campus in Marrakech on Thursday, April 25th, marks a significant milestone in this initiative.

Our School, committed to promoting inclusive educational opportunities worldwide, will offer in Morocco, the first Grande École Program (equivalent to a bachelor’s +5 – Master’s Degree) delivered by a French School. For its inaugural intake in October 2024, the campus will welcome 80 students. This is a first, as no other French higher education institution is currently established in Marrakech.

Favorable Economic Context and Geographic Location

This establishment in Morocco, specifically in Marrakech, stems from a crucial observation: the increasing number of applications from Moroccan students coupled with the significant growth in the Moroccan student population over the past 10 years (162%).

Within ESC Clermont Business School, 35% of international students are from Morocco: 15% are “freemovers” and 85% are recruited through partnerships maintained with academic institutions in the country. Additionally, over the past three years, our School has received more admission requests from Moroccan students than available spots.

A Flagship Curriculum Meeting Students’ and Local Companies’ Needs

The Marrakech campus will welcome students in PGE2 and PGE3 of the Grande École Program, the flagship program of ESC Clermont Business School. Developed in consultation with local, national, and international stakeholders, it offers specializations aligned with the needs and trends of Moroccan companies, particularly in sectors such as banking, automotive, aerospace, logistics, and consulting.

In this regard, the specialization “Financial Engineering and Innovation in Finance” will be offered on this campus, followed by the addition of “Hotel Management and Tourism Business” and “Sport Business” specializations in 2025. The “Hotel Management and Tourism Business” specialization will be exclusively delivered on the Marrakech campus.

A Project for Social Inclusion Supported by Local Stakeholders

The project was made possible through the realization of numerous partnerships and support from local higher education institutions, two research laboratories, and around fifteen companies providing internships. The School has joined the French Chamber of Commerce in Morocco, which has a branch in Marrakech. It also relies on the support of the French diplomatic post through its Scientific and University Cooperation Attache, and its network of 70 alumni in Morocco. Michelin and Joubert Groups, both established in Morocco, also provide support to the implementation of the project.

This establishment offers young people the opportunity to obtain a bachelor’s +5 degree while remaining in Morocco. ESC Clermont Business School thus chooses to award internal scholarships and to implement a proactive policy of reasonable tuition fees. Tuition fees at the Marrakech campus will be reduced through partnerships signed with Moroccan institutions.

The opening of a campus in Marrakech is a source of great pride for us. Our close collaboration with Morocco has strengthened over the years, making us true partners. This project also embodies our commitment to social inclusion, equal opportunities, and diversity.

A Strategic Location within the Country

This new campus benefits from a strategic location within the country. Its position makes it a crucial gateway for commercial exchanges, both nationally and internationally.

Located in the heart of the Izdihar district, it spans 1,000 m² and offers an environment conducive to learning in brand-new facilities. The facilities include a total of 12 spaces, 5 large classrooms equipped for an interactive teaching experience, 2 examination rooms, 2 co-working spaces, an InfoLab, as well as a social area consisting of a cafeteria and a 200 m² rooftop.
